Full Job Description – Telesales Executive

Overall Purpose of Position
We want our clients to stay with us and to get the most out of our products and services. This role will look to grow our business by retaining our existing clients while they’re still happy, or offer them solutions if they have stopped using our services and to grow our existing data base by adding brand new clients.

Key Accountabilities 

  • Making calls to clients and use your sales, service skills and learnt techniques to retain them, grow their business and to maximise revenue from each such interaction.
  • Hit sales, revenue and retention targets while achieving all performance KPI’s to agreed levels and standards
  • Provide and sell to our clients appropriate information on all products and services
  • Provide pricing and quotations to our clients as appropriate
  • Maintain and improve your product knowledge, campaign and competitor information
  • Maintain and improve your sales ability in order to consistently review performance and take appropriate action to improve.
  • Ensure that Fuelwise is represented at all times in a professional and courteous manner and within the ethical boundaries of the brand values
  • Play an active role in feeding back client reaction to offers and products in order to maximise the opportunity to retain.
  • Identify process barriers to delivering an exceptional client experience

Education and Work Experience 

  • Ideally you will have worked within a sales role for at least 2 years, it’d be great if you have previous experience of telesales, but we will provide all the training you need so it’s not essential. We’ll want to see experience of working to targets and deadlines within a pressured environment and you’ll have a proven track record of target and objective achievements.

 Knowledge (Language, IT, etc) 

  • You’ll be using our online systems to help you serve our clients better. We’ll give you all the training you need but you will need to have used computers before, be comfortable with them and have a sound understanding of Microsoft Excel products. The fact that you’ve found our online advert means that you’ve almost certainly got the computer skills that we need.

Personal Skills 

  • You’ll enjoy working to and hitting targets but you’ll also know the difference between selling for selling’s sake and selling because that’s what’s best for the customer. You will be self motivated and resilient, able to handle rejection and will the ability to take the initiative and use appropriate judgement in a crisis situation.
  • You will be able to work efficiently without compromising quality and off course be flexible and adaptable to changing circumstances.

Fuelwise have an exciting opportunity for a Telesales Assistant Manager to join them in their Coleraine office.

  • We are looking for a Telesales Manager who is very dynamic, upbeat and enthusiastic with a big personality. Within this role you will help manage and develop the existing Account Management and New Sales team on a daily basis. The applicant needs to have a very visible confidence and presence, with the professionalism to accompany such a responsible role.
  • Heading up a team of talented people here isn’t just about motivating them to hit challenging sales, service and revenue targets. It’s about creating a great working environment, inspiring each member of that team and developing their individual abilities. And when you’re not showing new joiners the ropes or looking for ways to boost your team’s performance, you’ll be happy to pull on a headset yourself, dealing expertly with escalated calls and really leading by example.
  • You will be a sales capable individual and will thrive within a sales environment; you must also have excellent communication and IT skills. You will have at least 3+ years experience of managing a team of sales people and bring a track record that shows you’re used to delivering results, and you must have strong management skills. You will need to be able to work on your own initiative and manage internal and external relationships to ensure the smooth support of the team.

Responsibilities include:

  • To maintain, manage, motivate and plan the work of the Telesales department.
  • Help to build a strong dynamic and successful team.
  • Manage your own key accounts; develop that same database by growing your existing business and by adding new customers.
  • Manage and produce the KPI’s and performance/output of the department.
  • Ensure targets and KPI’s are met whilst maintaining Company protocols and workplace rules and procedures.
  • Assist with any recruitment, training and continually support the telesales team.
  • Liaise with all other departments to optimise quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Deal with any issues that may arise and manage any projects.

Essential requirements

  • A proven track record in Sales & Customer retention with a proven track record for delivering results.
  • High level of sales experience within a tele-sales environment with 3 years + experience at Team Leader/ Supervisory level.
  • A strong understanding of sales processes and the ability demonstrate how you have used these sales processes in a current/previous position.
  • Analytical, with the ability to interpret information, numbers, data and research quickly – and extract the most important/relevant information to build intelligent sales strategies for the business.
  • Numerate and literate with excellent ICT skills. Able to deliver clear and concise ideas to the Management and Team and the ability to produce top quality reports and presentations.
  • Proven listening, negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Proactive and highly organised with strong time management skills, meticulous attention to detail and a proven ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to carry out responsibilities with minimal supervision and thrive both on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • Analytical and inquisitive, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Innovative and creative, with a concise, precise and effective approach to objection handling.
  • Credible, articulate, confident and tenacious, with the gravitas and credibility to build relationships with executives at all business levels.
  • Reliable, flexible and cooperative.
  • Personable and approachable, with an enthusiastic, energetic and motivational nature and an overall passion for excellence.
