Using Fuelwise Telematics you can view the live vehicle location across your whole fleet.
Often referred to as a GPS Live Map, you can view each vehicles location along with information such as the speed they are travelling at.
You can also create an estimated Time of Arrival to establish how long it will take your vehicle to arrive at your desired location.
In this guide we will show you the steps to take to view your live vehicle location on Velocity Fleet.
Step 1: Login to Velocity Fleet
You can login to Velocity Fleet by clicking here.
If you require a login to Velocity Fleet please contact your Account Manager.
Step Two: Select Vehicle Tracking
After logging into Velocity Fleet select the Vehicle Tracking tile as shown below.
Step Three: Select Live Map Feature
Once the Vehicle Tracking features have loaded you need to select Live Map.
After clicking on Live Map you will then be able to view your live vehicle locations.
This feature is powered using Google Maps which means live traffic updates are available. This is particularly useful when creating routes for your drivers.
As you will see on the right of your screen there is a tile with multiple options.
Using this you can change whether Registrations or Driver Names are displayed, your type of map, plus whether traffic updates are shown.
Clustering refers to the grouping of vehicles. In this example two vehicles close by will be trigger a cluster. To view the vehicles in each cluster simply click on the number or zoom in on the map.
Finally, you can choose to display Points of Interests. Examples of these could be your company headquarters or job site.
The GPS Live Map is one of the most frequently used features by Fleet Managers. It enables them to keep track of their vehicles’ exact locations at any time, see traffic congestion and identify the best route plus it helps save time and keep drivers from idling.
