1. What is a fuel card?
A fuel card is very similar to a credit card without the interest charges; each fuel card has a set network of sites around the Ireland, UK or Europe at which your fuel card can be used.
Our fuel cards can be used on branded networks such as Circle K, Applegreen, Emo Oil Top Oil, Shell, Texaco and Maxol along with Morrisons, Tesco and Sainsbury’s supermarkets. We also provide fuel cards that can be used in 22 European countries at all major branded filling stations.

3. Are there any minimum requirements to apply for a Fuelwise fuel card?
No, you can apply for a Fuelwise card if your business has 1 vehicle or if you operate on a larger scale and have thousands of vehicles. We have customers ranging from electricians, painters and decorators to couriers and large haulage companies, everyone is welcome, and everyone gets treated the same.

4. Is there a contract or minimum use with a Fuelwise fuel card?
We do not ask you to sign a contract and you are under no obligation to use the fuel card. Fuelwise will provide you with advanced notice of the price you will pay for your fuel via text or email allowing you to make an informed decision on the best interests of your business.

6. Where can I use my fuel card?

7. What security features are on a fuel card?
All fuel cards are issued with a unique four digital PIN that should only be shared with those who require it. Limits are also put in place to prevent unauthorised transactions. Using Velocity Fleet you can create Alerts, meaning you can be notified when a transaction takes place.
8. How can I monitor fuel usage?
As mentioned above, you can create Alerts, which notify you once a transaction takes place. Using Velocity Fleet you can also create custom reports. This enables you to view total fuel card usage per driver and identify trends and patterns.

9. Are there any hidden charges I should be aware?
Unlike other fuel card providers, Fuelwise only charges you for the fuel you purchase. We don’t have any transaction, non-usage or minimum usage fees. We do have an Annual Card Fee which is £/€15.00 per card per year.
10. Who can get a fuel card?
All businesses are eligible for fuel cards, whether you are a sole trader with one vehicle, or a large limited company with over 100 vehicles.
