As a Fleet Manager the security of your vehicles will be high on your agenda.
By creating Geofences you can be alerted to movements of your vehicles.
Geofences allow you to create virtual zones that when triggered alert you when one of your vehicles enters or leaves a specific area.
Today we will show you how to create Geofences using Velocity Fleet.
Step 1: Login to Velocity Fleet
You can login to Velocity Fleet by clicking here.
If you require a login to Velocity Fleet please contact your Account Manager.
Step 2: Select Vehicle Tracking
After logging into Velocity Fleet select the Vehicle Tracking tile as shown below.
Step 3: Select Geofences followed by Create Geofence
Once the Vehicle Tracking features have loaded you need to select Geofences, once the next page loads then select Create Geofence.
Step 4: Select Circle or Customised
The next step is to choose your type of Geofence. You can select from Circle or Customised. Selecting Circle will draw a circle around your chosen area whereas with Customised you can enter four points on the map.
Step 5: Create Your Geofence
In this example we will create a custom Geofence. To do this enter your location and then click Draw.
On the map enter four dots and then connect them. This will be the area you want to virtually place your vehicles within.
Once complete, click Next and then Save.
