In this blog post you will learn how to create Private Mileage reports using Velocity Fleet.
What is Private Mileage?
Private Mileage refers to the distance travelled for purposes other than work.
As an employer providing use of vehicles for use other than work, you need to remain HMRC compliant.
This can be achieved using GPS Vehicle Tracking as it can record the following information automatically:
- Type of trip (business or private)
- Mileage information
- Date and locations
What are Private Mileage Reports?
Private Mileage reports only display the data from trips that were marked as private, they will not include data on trips related to official work purposes.
The report will provide the route taken, date and time, plus the total mileage driven.
Further below you will find a guide to create your own private mileage reports using Velocity Fleet.
