What Are Live Streaming Dash Cams?
Dash cams, also referred to ash dash cameras and vehicle cameras, are predominantly used by business fleets. They are primarily used to provide increased visibility into road safety and footage is used for driver training and in the case of an accident to provide evidence.
Live streaming makes it possible to view live video footage remotely in real-time. This means a fleet manager can login to Velocity Fleet and stream live footage from their dash cam directly onto their computer.
Dash cams with live streaming provides the option to carry out virtual ride-alongs, training for staff who are new to the business or learning a new route, plus you can even recognise good and bad driving habits.
How Does Live Streaming Work?
Our live streaming feature makes it possible to view road-facing video, driver-facing video, or both using the Velocity Fleet dashboard.
Users can begin a live steam via their Velocity account for vehicles that are on active trips. Audio by default is switched off, but can be activated on your account by contacting your Account Manager.
