As a Fleet Manager you need to know everything regarding your vehicles, for example when drivers exceed speed limits or vehicles move out of our hours.
By creating GPS Alerts you will always be in the know.
You will be notified immediately and as alerts will come straight through to your phone via a push notification or to your email address.
Today we will show you how to create Alerts using Velocity Fleet.
Step 1: Login to Velocity Fleet
You can login to Velocity Fleet by clicking here.
If you require a login to Velocity Fleet please contact your Account Manager.
Step 2: Select Vehicle Tracking
After logging into Velocity Fleet select the Vehicle Tracking tile as shown below.
Step 3: Select Alerts
Once the Vehicle Tracking features have loaded you need to select Alerts.
You will see the different types of alerts you can create as displayed in the image below.
The process of creating an Alert is the same for each type, today we will create a Speeding Alert.
Step 4: Select Vehicles
The first step is to select which vehicles you wish to create the GPS alert for.
In this example we selected ‘All Vehicles’.
Step 5: Choose Speeding Threshold
The next step involves choosing the threshold for alerts.
You can choose to be alerted of drivers exceed the speed by either 20%, 30% or 50%.
Step 6: Choose Alert Recipients
The final step involves choosing who will receive the GPS alert and how they will receive it.
In the example below you will see some contacts can’t receive Push Notifications as they haven’t installed the mobile app.
After making your selection, click the confirm button and give your alert a name, then it will be completed.
